MARKO MITROVIC
Coach Marko has played an instrumental role in the implementation of the Mitrovic Method from Momentum’s early days. Through his soft-spoken approach, he was able to get through to any athlete he crossed paths with, and help them gain an understanding for the nuances of skill and character development. Having had his own playing career cut short due to injury, he knows how valuable and short one’s time playing a sport can be, and is able to bring the best out of others as a result.
Born in Toronto, Coach Marko was active on the basketball courts from the time he took his first steps as a baby. Having developed a liking for the sport early, he started to take it very seriously in middle school before going on to leading roles at both Northern Secondary School and Metropolitan Preparatory Academy. Having graduated as Valedictorian of his class at Metro Prep, Coach Marko attended Phillips Exeter Academy, located in New Hampshire as a post-graduate. Having had his promising season at Exeter, and subsequent scholarship opportunities, cut short due to injury, he accepted an offer to play in his hometown for the University of Toronto. After suffering yet another serious injury, Coach Marko decided that it was time to leave the game behind and focus on his studies and future away from the court.
After leaving the game as a player, he found what all Momentum coaches did at some point, which is a passion for coaching youth basketball. An excellent teacher and communicator, Coach Marko always found a way to connect with his players and joy in trying to help others develop their skills. He has played an integral part in the development of the Momentum systems, philosophies and community. Since U of T, Coach Marko lived in London (UK) for a few years, travelling and working abroad.
Coach Marko now lives back in Toronto and is an avid Everton Football Club fan.

NICK HAMILTON
A former U Sports team captain and 5x Academic All-Canadian at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), Coach Nick brings a calm, confident leadership style to the court. Shaped by years of experience as both a high-performing athlete and a dedicated mentor, he takes pride in creating a positive, disciplined environment that supports each player’s individual growth – both on and off the floor. His thoughtful and tailored coaching approach reflects Momentum’s values of development, accountability, and trust.

After years of hard work and grinding his way into the rotation, Coach Nick ultimately served as the team captain in his final year, and was a consistent example of excellence in both academics and athletics. He is a 5x Academic All-Canadian and a recipient of the Devon Lords Brook Award, which honours student-athletes for achievement in sport, education, and community involvement. His collegiate career included a U Sports Bronze Medal, and OUA Silver Medal, and recognition for his mental toughness with the #RamsTalk Mental Health Resilience Award in 2019.
Coach Nick has also worked with the Canada Basketball Junior Academy, gaining experience at the national level and continuing to develop his passion for youth mentorship. Since joining Momentum in early 2024, he has quickly become a valuable part of the coaching team, offering fresh perspectives and a necessary drive and spirit to push this program to greater heights.
Coach Nick lives in Toronto with his girlfriend and their two cats, Piano and Sushi.
